What are the benefits of the LoopedIn Councils Waste App?

This App has been created to provide you with information about waste and recycling services in the Macedon Ranges Shire Council.

The App provides:

• a personalised bin collection calendar for residents, with optional reminders
• an A-Z list of materials (with accompanying images) and a colour-coded guide showing which bin items belong in
• further information, hints and tips to help with waste management
• information about Council’s waste and recycling services and facilities, including opening hours and locations
• notifications of changes to collection dates, events and programs
• access to green waste vouchers

Will the LoopedIn Councils App run on any smartphone or tablet?

No. The App is only available on Apple iOS (for iPhones) and Google Android (for various phones and tablets). This covers around 90% of the market in Australia.

What about App updates?

The App is updated periodically, and you can turn on automatic updates in the settings of your device. 

Will I have to enter my street address and suburb each time I use the App?

No. The App will recall information for the last loaded street address. That way, only information specific to your collection area will be displayed.

How do the bin reminders work?

Set a reminder from the ‘settings’ page of the app. You can choose to the time that you want to be reminded the day before.
